I am guilty, guilty, guilty! I neglect my hair in the saddest way. I was blessed to have straight hair and on any given day you will find it to be straight. I don't know how to braid, a curl doesn't stay in long enough to make it worth it, so I rarely style it. Also its the last thing I think of, its too easy to pull it up in a bun or pony tail while running out the door. But for New Years I am going to get it styled professionally. A day like this shouldnt be celebrated with a half ass bun! Here are some styles that I am pulling together for inspiration.
Two stylish ladies that I watch for hair inspiration, their both close to my age and stars on the red carpet. I don't know if I want to have my hair down, but Amanda's hair has classic movie star waves that are a complete show stopper. I am leaning towards having my hair up and Scarjo's up do is fun and flirty, two attitudes fit for New years.
I don't thinnk I could do this because of my short bangs, but if I ever grow my bangs out I would want to try this. This was inspired by the Marc Jacobs runway look, 40's hollywood glam. I would also have to get my make up done like this, the eyeliner and the dark lipstick... sultry!
The funkier side of me is being pulled in by these images. If you are going to go funky anytime soon, New Years would be it.
The messy ponytail is like the first picture in this post, for some reason "the messier the sexier" springs to mind. New Years is an all night affair so if the messy pony tail gets a little messier it wont be as noticable. Yes, its Scarjo with the updo again, its a little messier this time but still as stunning.
I haven't bought my dress yet, its true that a strapless, a v neck, spaghetti strap can determine how your hair should be.
Have you gotten your dress yet? Do you know how you're doing your hair?
